Paul Gray leads the home devices research, spanning television sets, smart home, consumer electronics, and domestic appliances. Paul is also heavily engaged in researching the development of the Ultra HD ecosystem.

He joined Omdia, formerly IHS Markit, more than 10 years ago. With more than 30 years’ experience in the TV set supply chain working for NXP and Philips in semiconductors and displays, Paul continues to research the TV set business. He has also worked on wearable and media devices and has tracked and forecast the smart TV business from its very beginning. Paul has been cited by, among others, the Financial Times, Korea Times, Korea Daily, Nikkei, and Le Monde. He has also offered expert viewpoints in online, radio, and television programming. Ricky joined Omdia (formerly IHS Markit) in 2012 when it acquired Displaybank, where he had worked for 11 years. Jimmy Kim 김현진

Jimmy is a Senior Principal Analyst in charge of display materials and cost analysis within the Omdia group. He joined Omdia (formerly IHS Markit) in November 2014, when IHS Markit acquired DisplaySearch, where he served as a senior analyst in charge of display materials and LED analysis.

Before DisplaySearch, he spent three years on the marketing team at Samsung LED (currently Samsung Electronics), leading the display-related LED market team and creating marketing strategies for the company. Prior to Samsung LED, Jimmy spent five years at Samsung Electronics working on the R&D team for the LCD business. There, he led several R&D projects on new light sources for LCD backlights and new BLU structures. He earned his Ph.D. from the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Seoul National University, Korea.

Before starting his analyst career with DisplaySearch, Calvin Hsieh had more than a decade of experience crafting strategies and managing product lines at leading display and system organizations across the globe. He joined DisplaySearch as the director for touch panel market and TV electronics in 2007, which was acquired by IHS Markit in 2014. Doyeol Ahn 안도열

Doyeol (David) Ahn obtained Ph. D in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1988, M. S and B. S . from Seoul National University in 1985 and 1983, respectively. He has more than 35 years of experience in the optoelectronic devices and quantum information science. One of his early papers on strained layer quantum well lasers published in IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics in 1988 became a classic in this field, which has more than several hundred citations. Prof. Ahn is also regarded as one of the pioneers in relativistic quantum information theory. In 1998, he was endowed with a multi-million-dollar project for nine years on quantum information science from the Korean government thus seeding this field in Korea. He holds 45 US patents, published a textbook entitled, “Engineering Quantum Mechanics,” from Wiley, 2011 and co-authored more than 250 refereed journal papers. Prof. Ahn was elected to the IEEE Fellow in 2005 and American Physical Society Fellow in 2009. In 2016, he received an ECE Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2020, Prof. Ahn was selected as one of finalists for US Air Force sponsored Quantum Tech Competition and later awarded two US Air Force grants on quantum computing algorithms. His recent research includes non-Markovian model of quantum error mitigation for NISQ quantum computers supported by Korean government.

HanBin Lee is CEO and Co-Founder of Seoul Robotics. In 2017, HanBin and three other engineers participated in a self-driving car competition hosted by online education firm Udacity and Chinese car-sharing service DiDi Chuxing. Out of 2,000 participating teams, the team finished 10th in the competition - with just a LiDAR. Donghyeon Kim 김동현

Donghyeon Kim received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (2019) from the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST, Gwangju, South Korea). Subsequently he worked as a full-time postdoctoral researcher in the Center for Hybrid Optical Access Network (CHOAN). As a founding member of the startup “ART Lab (AI & Robotics Tech Lab)”, he is currently working as a director and data scientist.
